The Eternal Cord
Eternal thoughts are coming through the Eternal Cord that no one can cut or separate. This Eternal Cord can only come through the new birth by His Grace and Love.
Galatians 1:15-16
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me...
Galatians 4:19
My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you
Our sign that we came from our mother is the navel (belly button).
Adam did not have this mark on him, as he was not born of a woman but of the Word.
But we are each marked with a navel as a sign that we were once attached to our earthly mother. That's where the umbilical cord comes in. The umbilical cord is a flexible tube that carries oxygen and nutrients from the mother to the baby. Your belly button marks the spot where your umbilical cord was once attached.
It pleased God who cut and separated us from this cord.
When we receive the eternal cord through the new birth, it will mark us for an everlasting sign, as it is written in Isaiah 55:13b
..."an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off".
